Plot Synopsis
With their singular blend of comic coloration, Mark and Jay Duplass (This Is John, Scrabble) introduce their debut feature, The Puffy Chair. After an online search, Josh (Mark Duplass) finds the perfect birthday present for their father: a puffy purple chair exactly like the one his dad used to have. All he has to do is pick up and deliver the surprise to his dad.
Like any great journey, complications arise when the reluctant girlfriend Emily (Kathryn Aselton) decides to join the trip as “co-captain” and his spiritual younger brother Rhett tags along. The film explores the lives of adults trapped in the attitudes and ideas of their childhoods, and proves that some people never grow up. The Puffy Chair brings a hilarious voice to the screen.
