Plot Synopsis
ICON announce a new version of Mel Gibson's The Passion of The Christ to be released in UK cinemas this Easter 25th March 2005.
The new film entitled THE PASSION - RECUT will be approximately 6 minutes shorter than the original and has been awarded a certificate 15 from the BBFC. The Passion of The Christ, released in cinemas March 2004, was an 18 certificate.
Following the phenomenal success of The Passion of The Christ across the world in 2004, director Mel Gibson has assembled a new slightly 'softer' version of his film that he hopes will appeal to those who thought the intensity of the original film was prohibitive. "I hope to cater to those people that perhaps might not have seen the original because of it's intensity or brutality" commented Mel Gibson.
