Plot Synopsis
Along the Kansas/Missouri border in the early Civil War year of 1861, the war's uglier sides are foreshadowed in the form of the burning of Lawrence, and the gangs of bushwhackers who engage in bloody guerrila warfare. This is the story of a 16-year-old boy, Jake who joins the First Kansa Irregulars, and becomes part of this bloody chapter of Civil War history.
