Plot Synopsis
Reconstruction turns romantic drama inside out, laying bare the emotions and psychology of passion in an explosion of images. Protagonist, Alex, a photographer, and beautiful Aimee, meet by chance and fall in love in the course of one intense day in Copenhagen. After just one night together, both must return to their partners and domestic lives, but as Alex lifts his key to the door of his flat, he finds it no longer there. And so begins the sinking realization that he has unwittingly crossed a spatio-temporal line. Finding himself in free fall, Alex must face up to the question of how far he is willing to go and how much he is ready to give up for his dreams of true love. Reality blurs, twists and begins to tear in this insightful and highly original look at the nature of Fantasy; a contemporary take on the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice.
