Plot Synopsis
Featuring Indian superstar Aamir Khan in the lead, 'Rang De Basanti', one of the biggest releases of 2006, is a contemporary and light-hearted youth drama about male bonding and friendship - set against the verdant landscape of traditional Punjab, the gripping storyline progresses from being a refreshing and heart-warming account of love and camaraderie to a powerful saga about standing up for one's beliefs and convictions.
The superhit music by the maestro A.R. Rahman features the voices of Aamir Khan and Daler Mehndi among other top-notch singers. The beautifully shot film has been directed by noted ad filmmaker Rakeysh Mehra, whose previous feature was the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer 'Aks', and produced by UTV, India's largest integrated entertainment & media major.
