Plot Synopsis
Notorious director (and critic boxing sensation) Uwe Boll once again defies his critics’ expectations by delivering a laugh-outloud, anarchic satire that lines up metaphorical sacred cows and slaughters them! Adapted from the controversial 1997 computer game of the same name, POSTAL is virtually guaranteed a longlived cult following. Rather than continuing to fight his public and online image, Boll has decided to embrace it with this outrageously politically incorrect roller-coaster ride; containing scenarios sure to offend everyone.
Our ‘hero’, a twenty something trailer park dweller, is having a really bad day. He catches his morbidly obese wife rocking the trailer with their hillbilly landlord and all hell breaks loose. His Uncle Dave (Foley from The Kids in the Hall and Newsradio) leads a Doomsday Cult whose fundraising efforts run afoul of Osama Bin Laden and The Taliban – who just so happen to be headquartered behind a convenience store in town. Chaos ensues when both factions decide to target an international shipment of superstar Verne Troyer’s Krotchy dolls.
Non-stop action and creative set pieces expertly showcase Uwe Boll’s directorial skills, technical control and stylistic flair, whilst a veteran ensemble cast go for broke with this tastelessly hilarious script.
