Plot Synopsis
A dark, deeply moving, London-based thriller about vice and loss. Caine, in a cameo role, appoints small-time crook Bob Hoskins as chauffeur to a beautiful tart, Cathy Tyson (thereafter sadly neglected by the cinema), with whom, naturally, he falls in love, though she is black and he, to start with anyway, is a racist.
