Plot Synopsis

Another film of ‘BLACK’ class, Iqbal is the story of a deaf and dumb boy who wants to excel in cricket. An impossible task made realistically achievable by the director through a step by step treatment, Iqbal inspires one and all to go ahead to achieve their goals. Only such great movies have kept the art of cinema alive.

Iqbal (Shreyas Talpade) is an 18 years old deaf and dumb boy absolutely in love with the game of cricket. His father disapproves of this obsession of his while his sister and mother support him. Iqbal however has no hope to learn cricket when he meets Mohit (Naseerudin Shah), an alcoholic now but once a brilliant cricketer. Then begins the saga of development of a deaf and dumb boy into a class cricketer. And the saga is so gripping and handled in such a deft manner that not a single scene of the movie can be missed.

Iqbal is a magical movie having the power to force you to do something meaningful for the world. Real impact of the movie can be felt only by watching it. This is Oscar material that must not be missed.
