Plot Synopsis
THis film takes us on a fascinating visit to Czernovitz, a remote city which, until the Holocaust, was a thriving centre of German speaking Jewish culture. Here, every evening, the sombre Herr Zwilling and the vivaceous Frau Zuckermann, two of the city’s oldest residents, meet to keep their German language and cuitural heritage alive.
