Plot Synopsis
Artuklu Monarchy, which played a leading role during the invasion of the Anatolia in the 12th century, is one of the most important and leading communities in Turkish history.
Being among the troops of the Emperor Alparslan, their civilization carried not the signs of early Islam, but also the attributes of Alexander the great.
In year 1300 a witch gets Dengizhan, an Artuklu Village, under her control. Due to her influence people start to think that the little girls of the village are responsible for all bad omen.
As consequence of this belief and under her spell, all innocent daughters were buried alive. This led to disaster. The village suffered the wrath of God and got devastated.
Centuries went by...
In the year 2004 a group of archaeologists from Istanbul breaks open to this damned area to excavations, in order to find the holy book of Sultan Salih, the leader of the Artuklu Monarchy.
When one of the archaeologists orders a strong spell, in order to cause the death of her rival, she brings the curse that sleeps underground and its demons into the daylight, because all evil is nourished by hate and envy.
Although there has been no witch-hunt in the history of Islam, the sorcery has always been described as one of the greatest sins in the holy Koran.
Now the question is:
The Christianity fights since decades against the evil.
How successful is Islam actually in this combat?
