Plot Synopsis
Did just-arrested serial killer Gabriel (Andre Henniicke), responsible for slaughtering young boys and using their blood as paint in his chilling apocalyptic portraits, also kill a girl in a suburban Berlin village? If not, and he's not saying, then who did? Ever since his son's friend Lucia was found mutilated, upstanding country policeman Michael Martens (Wotan Wilke Moehring) suspected someone local was the perpetrator. The community unrest and paranoia caused by his suspicions might finally be laid to rest if Gabriel admits to this atypical murder. But the evil lunatic has a malevolent psychodrama in store for Martens and it's one that could totally destroy his fragile Christian faith forever. The stark twists and clever turns taken by this Silence of the Lambs style frightener are extraordinarily daring and lead Alvart's study of evil as a possibly infectious virus to an absolutely heart-stopping showdown.
